After a decade of research and writing, Richard Wing, professor emeritus of writing, has published his fourth book, entitled “A Vine of God’s Own Planting.”

Casey James was born to Tara and Ken Griffin, major gifts officer..

Paul Watson, assistant professor of mathematics education, presented four sessions at the Educator Convention of the Association of Christian Schools International in Dayton, Ohio.

Teresa Piper, assistant to the director of the alumni office, recently passed the required New York State exam to be a licensed realtor in New York state.

Ava JoLee was born to Stephanie and Stephen Abbott, administrative assistant to the dean of the chapel and RD of the College Flats/Townhouses.

Bruce Brenneman, assistant professor of English, Richard Eckley, associate professor of theology, Harold Kingdon, professor of Christian ministries, Bill Swanson, professor of physical education and chair of the physical education/recreation department, and Paul Watson, assistant professor of mathematics education were recognized by Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers as for excellence in teaching.

David Perkins, assistant professor of mathematics, gave a talked entitled “Graph Theory Untangles a Troubling Sum” at the 18th Midwestern Conference on Cryptography, Combinatorics and Computing.

Matt Preston, PC support technician, received the staff Kudos Award for his willingness to go above and beyond the call of duty to rewire the college radio station.

Aileen McCallum, manager of Java 101 and The Daily Grind, received the staff Kudos Award for recognition of the extra hours she worked to help create The Daily Grind.

Ayden James was born to Jeremy and Erin Gorham, physical education and art secretary. Proud grandma is Molly Spear, secretary to various academic departments.        .

Christie Tanner, editorial assistant, will have an article published in the February edition of ByLine magazine.

Steve Johnson, director of digital media and part-time assistant professor of art, will have  photos featured in the upcoming issue of Rock and Sling.
