HOUGHTON COLLEGE ACCEPTS CANADIAN FUNDS AT PAR

HOUGHTON, N.Y. – Houghton College is pleased to announce that Canadian money will now be accepted at par with the U.S. dollar for Canadian citizens attending Houghton College.

“Houghton has historically been a place for Canadian students to receive a quality Christian liberal arts education,” said Tim Fuller, vice president for enrollment management. “We know that dealing with a negative exchange rate has often been discouraging for Canadian families. We hope that equalizing the cost will allow more Canadian students to consider Houghton College.”

This benefit is available to full-time residential students attending Houghton College beginning in fall 2005. Canadian money is accepted at par for the balance due for tuition, room and board after Houghton College grants and scholarships are considered.

The conversion is determined once per semester and payments will be adjusted according to that rate. Canadian money at par can be combined with other Houghton College scholarships.
