HOUGHTON, N.Y.Houghton College and the Department of History and Political Science will be sponsoring an Allegany County Legislature (District 1) Republican Primary Candidate Night on Thursday, Sept. 8 at 6:30 p.m.

“The Allegany County Legislature (District 1) Republican Primary Candidate Night is the only time voters from this district  will have a chance to see and hear all the candidates together and be able to compare their platforms,” said Houghton Professor of Political Science B. Moderated by Houghton’s Professor of Communication Doug Gaerte, the candidates will give a brief opening statement followed by a few questions from the moderator and concluding with questions from the floor.
