HOUGHTON COLLEGE PRESIDENTIAL SEARCH UPDATE
HOUGHTON, N.Y.
— Rev. Dr. Karl Eastlack, chair of the
Presidential Search Committee at Houghton College, announced that Dr. Shirley
Mullen, currently the Provost at Westmont College, Santa Barbara, Calif.,
Houghton College Class of 1976, is the Presidential Search Committee’s
nominee to the Board of Trustees to be Houghton’s next President. The Search
Committee’s action is significant, but is merely a recommendation. The
decision-making process will not be final until the Board of Trustees votes
to elect Dr. Mullen. This decision will be made during its spring meeting on
May 19 and 20.
A news release
will be forthcoming when the Board has acted on the Search Committee’s
recommendation.
