Houghton Celebrates Commencement This Weekend
Rev. Dr. Jo
Anne Lyon, founder and executive director of World Hope International,
will bring the Houghton College Baccalaureate address on Friday, May 12
at 6:30 p.m. in Wesley Chapel. World Hope International is a faith-based
relief and development agency that works to alleviate suffering and
injustice around the world through education, enterprise and community
health.
Dr. Gaddi H.
Vasquez, director of the Peace Corps, will bring the Houghton
College Commencement address on Saturday, May 13 at 10:00 a.m. in Wesley
Chapel. Vasquez was unanimously confirmed by the United States Senate in
2002 as the 16th Director of the Peace Corps and its first
Hispanic-American Director.
