CONGDON IN CONCERT AT RANDALL BAPTIST CHURCH

HOUGHTON, N.Y. — Judy Congdon, professor of organ at Houghton College, presents an organ concert at Randall Memorial Baptist Church in Williamsville, N.Y., on Sunday, Feb. 11 at 6:00 p.m.

Congdon has played organ recitals throughout the U.S. and was a featured soloist in Poulenc’s “Organ Concerto” with the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra. She served for eight years as organist/choirmaster at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church in Olean, N.Y., as a board member of the Allegany Chapter AGO and as a member of the music commission for the Episcopal Diocese of Western New York. She is featured on the 2005 CD release of “With Heart and Hands and Voices: Hymns and Chorales for Organ.”  

Congdon holds a bachelor’s from Wheaton College, a master’s from the University of Colorado, a diploma from Hochschule fuer Musik, Frankfurt/Main, Germany, and a master’s and doctorate from the Eastman School of Music.
