HOUGHTON, N.Y. —Houghton College recently hosted Spring Fling 2007, an all night youth rally sponsored by The Central New York District of The Wesleyan Church.  

Spring Fling 2007 brought 1,115 teens and youth from 59 churches together for an evening of fun and fellowship. Musical guests featured Seventh Day Slumber, John Reuben, Jonathan Hape and Deas Vail. Tom Kilburn, chaplain at Roberts Wesleyan College, was the speaker.

Activities included laser tag, a basketball tournament, a volleyball tournament, water polo, a mechanical bull and bathtub races.

Pastor Garrett Herdter, from Avon Wesleyan Church in Avon, N.Y., organized Spring Fling 2007. He was assisted by staff from his church and staff from Houghton’s Church Relations Office.
