Student Self-Service (SSS) Account Creation Instructions for P.A.C.E. Students

The following are instructions for creating an account to view unofficial transcripts and grades on line through Student Self-Service (SSS).

Request an Account:

  1. Go to the Student Self-Service (SSS) home page:  (should you get a security screen click on Continue).  Note that SSS uses your network account credentials to give you access to your student information.

  2. In the User Name field on the left hand side of the screen, enter your Houghton College Network User Name (firstname.lastname). 

    1. If you have misplaced or do not know your Houghton College Username and Password, please contact the P.A.C.E. Office at: pace@houghton.edu

    2. If your network username is more than 20 characters, only enter the first 20 characters. 

  3. In the Password field on the left hand side of the screen, enter your Houghton College Network password. 

  4. You will be asked to verify who you are.  You must enter your System ID (which is your College ID number), first name, last name and date of birth exactly as they appear in our Student Information system.  Which will be your legal name and date of birth listed as mm/dd/yyyy.

    1. If you do not know your System ID, view the documentation you received from P.A.C.E. with your network Username and Password or contact the P.A.C.E. office at: pace@houghton.edu, OR Use the “Retrieve System ID” link on this page, and sign in with your Houghton College Username and Password; this will display your System ID and date of birth as recorded in our system.  Return to the “Request an Account” page and enter these items exactly as they appeared, along with your name as recorded in our Student Records system.  Should any of your information (such as date of birth) is incorrect in our system, please contact the P.A.C.E. office at pace@houghton.edu
  5. Once your verification information is entered correctly, you will be logged into Student Self-Service.  For future logins you will not need to go through the verification steps.  This is only for the first time logging in.

Once you have logged into the system, you can click on the Grades tab at the top of the page at which time you will see three options appear under the tabs: Unofficial Transcript – Request Transcript – Grade Report.  This will be the section that you will be most interested in. 

Please note that you will NOT use the Register section of the site.  Registration for classes will still take place through the P.A.C.E. office and your academic advisor.  Also at this time we ask if there is personal information that needs to be updated, please send that to the P.A.C.E. office rather than doing so on the system.
