Ordering Microsoft Office Software Instructions
As a full time Houghton College student you can get the 2007 Enterprise Version of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Outlook, OneNote, Access, Communicator, Groove, and InfoPath) at a dramatically reduced cost. If you do not have Microsoft Office on your computer, in particular Excel, PowerPoint and Word, we would strongly recommend that you order the software as these programs will be needed during your time in P.A.C.E.
The following are instructions for ordering software: If you have any questions, you can contact P.A.C.E. at:
pace@houghton.edu The above foundation has very limited titles available. If
you are interested in taking advantage of software deals for full
time college students, the best that we have come across is:
www.JourneyEd.com.
There is a wide range of software that is available. If you are interested in upgrading your
operating system to Microsoft Vista you
should be very careful about upgrading your operating system. Vista
takes an tremendous amount of memory (RAM) and most computers need
to have significant upgrades (disk space, RAM, graphics card, etc)
before you can install Vista and have it run correctly. In addition
a lot of your software and/or hardware programs may not work. There
is a Vista Upgrade advisor that you can download from Microsoft’s
website that will let you know if your computer could handle the
upgrade.
Click Here for more information on the Vista Upgrade advisor and
download information from the Microsoft website. The newest version of Microsoft's Operating System is Windows 7.
Before you upgrade your computer to the Windows 7 Operating System
you should download the Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor.
