PHYS 276: Experimental Physics Laboratory

Prerequisite: PHYS27

Course Description

 This semester we will focus on the procedures, methods, apparatus, and theory of modern nuclear physics, and finish with a field trip to SUNY Geneseo to perform Rutherford's famous scattering experiment using the 1.7 MV tandem pelletron. Students will be expected to maintain a logbook of their progress and results.
