Official Transcripts

Ordering Options*

  • Online form - Select Houghton from the drop-down box and continue through the form. Use this form to track your order, and pay with any major credit card. (add donotreply@studentclearinghouse.org to your safe senders list to receive order updates)
  • Student Self-Service- For Houghton Scholarships, current students may request transcripts under the "Grade" tab on Student Self-Service. 

There is a $5 cost for every official transcript that is sent out. There is an extra $1.00 charge for all transcripts sent outside the United States. There is no charge for transcripts that are sent directly to Houghton Greatbatch School of Music or directly to a scholarship foundation.

If you use the online form, an additional $2.25 will be collected by the National Student Clearinghouse (regardless of where it is being sent). If you have any questions, please email registrarsoffice@houghton.edu.  

*United Wesleyan students may request their transcripts through the same method; please indicate in the Notes section or on the request form that you are from United Wesleyan.

Processing Time

If you need your transcript by a certain date, be sure to note that on your request form. Please allow 3-4 days for your transcript to be processed. 

While we strongly request that you allow 3-4 business days for transcripts to be processed; we will do our best to help if a situation arises in which you must place a rush order on a transcript. 

Please prepay overnight shipment on the UPS website for any rushed orders. Forward the electronic label from UPS to registrarsoffice@houghton.edu with "OVERNIGHT Transcript UPS Label" in the subject line.  We must receive the label by 9am or we may not be able to process the transcript that day.

Please Note: Regardless of urgency status, transcripts will not be released for currently enrolled or former students who have not paid their college bills in full or who are delinquent in their loan repayments. 

Delivery Options

Official transcripts will be sent by mail. Please be sure to include the full mailing address with your request

Unofficial Transcripts

Ordering Options

Current Students and Alumni- Fill out the Transcript Request form and enter your email address in the "Send To" space. Return the signed form by fax or scanned email attachment, and we will email you an unofficial copy of your transcript. There is no fee for emailed transcripts.

Processing Time

If you need your transcript by a certain date, be sure to note that on your request form. Please allow 1-2 business days for your transcript to be processed. 

Delivery Options

Unoffical transcripts will be sent via e-mail. There is no fee for emailed transcripts. Remember that all emailed transcripts are not considered official
