IMITATORS OF CHRIST

A Christian Mentoring Program

“Follow my example, as I follow the example of Christ.”

1 Corinthians 11:1

Our Vision…

To see Houghton College students grow in their relationship to Jesus Christ through mentoring relationships with faculty, staff, and Christians from the community.

Who…

…is a mentor?

Your pastors, teachers, parents, grandparents, older friends, faculty, staff, older Christians in your church who encourage, guide, challenge, and pray for you.

 …is a protégé?

YOU!

What…?

This organization will initiate mentoring relationships between Houghton   College students and faculty, staff, and Christians from the community. A committee will group students with a mentor based on surveys and a fellowship gathering. These groups will then be able to meet regularly to pray, to talk about struggles, accomplishments, the bible, etc. Also, during the semester, there will be a chance for fellowship with other mentoring groups to share testimonies and provide encouragement.

When…?

At your convenience, with your mentor at least twice a month.  At least two fellowship meetings will be planned for each semester.

Why…?

It is our desire to provide Houghton College students with mentoring relationships with Christians from surrounding communities. Our hope is that these relationships will foster spiritual growth, provide encouragement, guidance, accountability, and prayer, based on the Word of God. Together, those involved will become imitators of Christ.

 How…?

Sign up or email kaitlan.ferris@houghton.edu giving your name, year, and CPO.
