Rev. Michael Jordan: Liaison for Church Relations
Michael Jordan is new to the Church Relations team in 2011. Before coming to this position, Mike served as pastor of Exton Community Baptist Church in suburban Philadelphia and has also taught several classes at Houghton. He is a Houghton alum (’99) and has graduate degrees from Eastern Baptist Seminary and Drew University. Mike’s wife Jill is a mathematician who teaches full-time at Houghton; together they raise Grace (5), Jack (3), and baby Lucy.
J.L. Miller- Liaison for Church Relations- Youth Ministry
J.L. Miller joined the Church Relations team in 2011 and thoroughly enjoys his time connecting with and resourcing youth pastors. With an undergraduate and graduate degrees in Youth Ministry, he has a passion for seeing Houghton serve as a resource for countless men and women ministering to today’s youth. He and his wife, Heidi, live in community with Houghton students, along with their children Silas (5), Sadie (2) and baby #3 due this September.
Betsy Sanford: Office Administrator
Betsy Sanford has served at Houghton College for 14 years and as office manager for Church Relations the past 4 years. Betsy coordinates the programming efforts for Church Relations including conferences & events, ministerial preparation support, and the summer ministry team program. She has also provided assistance at various regional and international Wesleyan conventions. Her focus and desire is to broaden and strengthen our relationship with churches and offer assistance as they connect to the many resources available at Houghton. Betsy and her husband, Michael, live in Nunda, NY and have four children.
