Men's soccer player Tim Haffey spent the summer in the Dominican Republic
working at a medical center. He was so moved by the plight of the poor and
homeless there, he vowed to do something to help. When he returned to the
United States he set up his own non-profit organization, Simple Purities. He
hopes to import paintings from the Dominican, sell them in the U.S., and return
the money to the poor in the Dominican Republic.
