BURGHARDT SET FOR CHALLENGES AS NEW COACH
HOUGHTON, N.Y. –
Head coach
Briana Burghardt
is not concerned that she is replacing the most successful field hockey coach
in Houghton history. In fact, she is excited about the challenge.
The first-year coach will see if her squad is
ready to repeat last year’s record-setting season when they open the 2004
campaign at Brockport State on Wednesday,
Sept. 1 at 4 p.m.

Houghton, founded by The Wesleyan
Church in 1883, provides an academically challenging, Christ-centered education
in the liberal arts and sciences to students from diverse traditions and
economic backgrounds and equips them to lead and labor as scholar-servants in a
changing world. The college of 1,300
students is located in Western New York, just 65 miles from Rochester and
Buffalo.
