TRACK ATHLETES FARE WELL AT MESSIAH
HOUGHTON, N.Y. –
The women's track and field team finished 6th out
of 18 teams and the men's team finished tied for 8th out of 17 teams at the
Messiah College Invitational.
The result for the men was particularly
impressive since they just eight athletes competed.
The following athletes provisionally qualified
for nationals: Mary Gibson (800m time of 2:17.71), Kerri Koch (1500m time of
4:45.20 - also a school record), Ryan Fadden (800m time of 1:54.29 - also a
school record), and the women's 4x800 Relay (Katy Sykes, Audrey Seldomridge,
Kerri Koch, and Mary Gibson) with a time of 9:41.93. Meghan Radimer threw
another qualifying mark in the javelin (130' 5").
Ryan Fadden and the women's 4x800 Relay set Messiah meet records in their
events (the relay beat the previous record by 10 seconds).

Christian college of 1,300 students
in Western New York, is a member of the National Association of Intercollegiate
Athletics and
the American Mideast
Conference. Houghton has been named
a Champions of Character Institution for the past four years for its active
