GOALKEEPER NAMED CONFERENCE DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
HOUGHTON,
N.Y. –
Houghton College men’s soccer player Erik Lefebvre (Ottawa, Ont., Canada /
Beatrice-Deloges) has been named the American Mideast Conference Defensive
Player of the Week for his play during the week of October 3-9.
Lefebvre, a 6-4
freshman goalkeeper,
stopped seven of
the eight shots he faced to guide the Highlanders to a pair of victories. He
made four saves in a 2-1 AMC North victory at Roberts Wesleyan College and
had three saves in a 2-0 win versus NAIA No. 27 Walsh University.
The Highlanders,
who overcame a number of injuries early in the season, have won three of
their last four games to bring their overall record to 3-9 and their AMC
North record to 2-1.
Houghton College
