He has an outstanding shot, shooting 43 percent from outside the arch, making 152

Academically, Valaitis is a standout in the classroom, awarded the J.C.C.
“Accounting Student of the Year, Business Administration Major Award,” and the
“J.C.C. Board of Trustees Award.”
“Rimgus is a perfect example of what a "student-athlete" should be, a student
first and an athlete second,” said Coach Parks. “Academically, Rimgus had a
perfect 4.0 G.P.A... Athletically he is a solid rebounder and prolific three
point shooter. He also ranked sixth in the nation, DII, in free throw shooting
(88.9%). It was my pleasure to coach Rimgus and I'm sure he will be an asset to
Houghton College as a student and player.”
“Rimgus is one of the finest shooters around,” said Coach Zarges. “He has an
extremely quick release and has great range. Rimgus also is physically tough. He
can defend in the post and on the perimeter. As a 4.0 student, he has his
priorities in order and will be a terrific addition to our team.”
Valaitis is the son of Algimantas and Lilija Valaitis, He anticipates in
majoring in Business Administration.
