Highlanders Defeat Embry-Riddle

Houghton, N.Y. – The Houghton Highlanders
squeezed out their 2nd victory of the season against Embry Riddle
tonight, 3-2 (13-30, 30-19, 27-30, 30-22, 15-13). Neither team could
gain the advantage over the other and with the constant lead changes led
to a very exciting but close game. All the way to the final set.
Houghton's ability to finish key points was the deciding factor of the
final set.
The Highlanders were lead by Sr. Teresa Rose with 19 kills & Sr. Robin
Frost with 19 kills, 13 digs. Sr. Audrey Seldomridge had another solid
game with 14 kills, 13 digs. Jr. Stefanie Swanson chipped in 21 digs,
while Fr. Brianne Brubaker contributed 16 digs of her own that helped
the team to the win.
Sr. Elizabeth Gardner follows up this game with another haul of 58
assists.
With this win the Highlanders are now 2-0 and play NAIA Nationally
ranked #24 Cornerstone University tomorrow at Houghton 11:00am
