                     Highlanders take 2nd Win with Ease

Lebanon, KY- The Houghton Highlanders won their second victory of the year 4-0 over Cumberland University Friday afternoon.  

Sr. Bridget Toth (Victor, NY) opened the scoring for the Highlanders in the 7th minute; for her first goal of the season, Jr. Bethany Kowalczyk (Waterford, PA) was credited with her first assist as well. Sr. Krista Fowlkes (Lake Placid, FL) also scored here first goal of the season in the 19th minute assisted by Sr. Bridget Toth (Victor, NY)

During the second half, Jr. Bethany Kowalczyk (Waterford, PA) had her third goal of the season in the 62nd minute this was assisted by Sr. Brittany Crozier (Souderton, PA). And to finish the scoring for the Highlanders So. Hannah Swift (Perrysburg, N.Y) picked up her 1st goal of the year in the 79th minute assisted by So. Stacey Litz (Erie, Pa). 

The Highlanders record is now 2-0-1 for the season, their next game is against Malone College in Canton, OH Friday September 1st at 4pm. This will be the opening game of the AMC North Division Conference Regular Season.
