Volleyball Extends Win

Houghton, N.Y.
– The Houghton
Highlanders easily pushed aside a depleted Carlow University Celtics team, 3-0.
The Highlanders started slow but quickly picked up the pace and never looked
back with a comfortable lead in each set. (30-14, 30-19, 30-21)
The
Highlanders continued their impressive improvement from winning the 3rd
Annual Defender Volleyball Invitational at Bible Baptist College in Clarks
Summit, PA.
The
Highlanders senior core led the way offensively throughout the entire match.
Sr. Audrey Seldomridge (Landisville, PA)
hit double digit’s having 13 kills followed by Sr.
Emily Kuvshinikov (Edinboro, PA) who had 9 kills herself.
Sr. Teresa Rose (Syracuse, N.Y.) had 6
kills while, Sr. Hillary Black (Oro Station,
Ontario Canada) and Sr. Robin Frost
(Wheaton, IL) each had five kills of their own.
Sr. Elizabeth Gardner (New Castle, PA) kept
the senior offense moving with 38 assists for the game. Defensively
Jr. Stefanie Swanson (Houghton, N.Y) lead
with 18 digs for the match.
The
Highlanders look to improve on their 6-4 overall record (1-0 in AMC North
Division) tonight playing Former A.M.C. member Geneva College tonight at home at
7:00pm.
Houghton College

roots in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics, where our
