Highlanders Win On The Road Against Point Park, 3-1

The
Highlander rebounded from their earlier loss in the day to Carlow College by
beating the Point Park Pioneers, 3-1 (23-30, 30-21, 30-18, 30-19). The
Highlanders finished their road trip in Pittsburg, PA splitting two AMC North
Conference Division games bringing there overall record to 14-8, and 7-3 in AMC
play.
The
Highlanders overcame a first set loss to an extremely confident Pioneers team
only refocus and finish strong winning the next three sets with ease. The
Highlanders where lead upfront behind
Fr. Holly Motheral
(Paris, Ontario)
who lead
the team in kills with 15 for the match. Also having an outstanding game
offensively and defensively
Sr. Robin Frost
(Wheaton, IL)
also
had 8 kills and 11 digs and
Sr. Audrey Seldomridge
(Landisville, PA) tallied
10 kills for the match as well.
Sr. Elizabeth Gardner
(New
Castle, PA)
recorded
an impressive double-double with 38 assist’s and 18 digs for the match. Joining
her was
Jr. Stefanie Swanson
(Houghton, N.Y)
who
also had 20 digs for her efforts as well.
The
Highlanders next match is home against Non-conference opponent Bible Baptist
College (PA) on Friday the 20th of October at 7:00 pm.
