               Highlanders defeat Defenders, 3-0

Houghton, N.Y.- The Highlander Women's Volleyball team won a close return game against non-conference opponent Bible Baptist College (PA), 3-0 (30-19, 32-30, 30-27). The Highlanders record now moves to 15-8 overall for the season.

 

Fr. Holly Motheral (Paris, Ontario) lead the team with 14 kills tonight closely followed by Sr. Robin Frost (Wheaton, IL)  who tallied 12 kills as well. The Highlanders produced big numbers on the defensive lead by their senior combination; Sr. Hillary Black (Oro Station, Ontario Canada) blocking 7 shots and  Sr. Teresa Rose (Syracuse, N.Y.) blocking five shots and also serving 3 aces.

 

The Highlanders next game is away against AMC North Division opponent Daemen College on the 24th of October at 7:00 pm.
