Highlanders Defeat Notre Dame, 1-0
South Euclid, OH- The Highlander Men's
Soccer team grabbed an important road win today over Notre Dame College, 1-0. In
sluggish and wet conditions
Fr. Dan
Brubaker (Shippensburg, PA) scored the winning goal for the
Highlanders improving the men to 3-1-1 AMC North Division record for post season
play next week.
The game was highlighted by two-thirty minutes
game delays due to thunder and lighting. "The guys just toughed it out," stated
Highlander Coach Webb.
Fr. Dan
Brubaker (Shippensburg, PA) came in the 23rd minute of play
from an assist from
Jr. Josiah Snelgrove (Coldstream,
New Brunswick).
The Highlander's had nine shots for the game to
Notre Dames fifteen.
So. Erik Lefebrve’s
(Ottawa, ON)
collected his fifth shutout of the season having five saves for
the match.
The Highlander's will now enter the AMC Qualifying
Round next week. Opponent updates and venue will be posted on the Men's schedule
when officially released.
