           Volleyball Lands Three Scholar Athletes

 

Houghton, N.Y. The Highlander Women's Volleyball team is proud to announce three players who are selected as 2006 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar Athletes for the 2006 fall season. Each nominee must have a minimum 3.5 GPA and must be a junior or academically above.

 

Receiving the awards this year are:

Elizabeth Gardner (Sr. New Castle, PA)

- Major: Communications and Political Science

- Second Team All AMC North Division

- Third-Team All-CoSIDA Scholar Athlete for District 1 at the College Level.

-Averaged 11.24 assists per game this season, finishing with 1158 assist for the year.

 

 

 

Hillary Black (Sr. Oro Station, Ontario Canada)

- Major: Biology/ Pre-Med

- Averaged 1.98 kills per game

- Averaged 0.97 Blocks per game

 

 

 

 

 

 

Sr. Robin Frost (Wheaton, IL)

- Psychology and Communications

- Averaged 2.94 kills per game, finishing with 291 kills for the year.
