In 2006-07 he surpassed those achievements repeating as a Don Thompson Soccer Tournament All-Star, Big 30 All-Star, and Allegany County 1st Team All-Star. He also was selected as the Allegany County MVP, named to the Section V All-Tournament team, Fillmore Central Team MVP, Expressway Conference Scholar Athlete, and Ted Woods Scholarship Award and Birds Eye Player of the Week.

"I am extremely pleased to have Aaron Martin join our team. Aaron has been a stand out athlete in Allegany County for the last few years at Fillmore in both soccer and basketball. More importantly, Aaron has been a exemplary young man of character as evidenced by the admiration and respect he has earned of those he plays with and against. We have built a strong relationship with Fillmore Central School and Coach Mullen in recent years and have been the beneficiary of that relationship with the additions of Jesse Woolsey and Adam Palmer last year, and now Aaron. Aaron is yet another great Fillmore addition to Houghton's athletic department. Aaron is a very hard worker and is eager to learn what it is going to take to play soccer at the collegiate level. With his work ethic and desire I envision Aaron becoming a strong college soccer player in the future. His quickness and aggressiveness will be great assets for playing as an attacker in our high pressure system of play. It is a pleasure to add Aaron to our team and I look forward to being his coach for the next four years."

Houghton College has deep and solid roots in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics, where our teams use their commitment to excellence, both on the field-of-play and in the classroom, as a platform for their strong and unique emphasis on Sports Ministry. Their goal is to make a difference for the Kingdom on campus, in Allegany County, in the Northeast and around the world.  Houghton is one of only 13 institutions who have been hand-selected by the NAIA to serve as "Champions of Character" Program Centers, opening the door for Houghton to be a leader, both in the Northeast and nationally, in character education. Through hands-on, innovative community outreach initiatives, Houghton coaches and student-athletes are working together to change the culture of sport and to change our culture through sport.
