Men's Basketball Signs Grace Brethren Christian

Houghton, NY-
Devin Paige Jr. (Washington D.C./ Maryland) has
signed a national letter of intent to play basketball at Houghton College,
Highlander coach Brad Zarges announced today.

Paige,
6'1" SG comes to Houghton after completing a stellar 3-year career at
Grace Brethren Christian School. During his varsity career Paige was the
All-Time leading scorer at Grace Brethren Christian finishing with 1,603 points
over three years. Devin averaged 20 points, 2.3 rebounds per game last season.
Shooting an astounding 63% from the field and 81% from the free throw line.
"We are
extremely excited to have Devin Jr. join us," said Highlander Head Coach Brad
Zarges. "He brings a genuine desire and testimony to serve the Lord with his
gifts and abilities and is expected to help replace some of the scoring punch
that will be missing with the graduation of Sr. Luke Mortenson. Devin brings a
balanced offensive game incorporating a great outside touch, and off-the-dribble
arsenal that has been refined playing against the top collegiate bound talent
out of the D.C. area. Over, time we expect Devin to become a prolific scorer."
Devin
enjoyed early success starting his sophomore year, in which Grace Brethren went 14-15
overall winning the Washington Bible
College Tournament. During his junior year he took his team to a 22-10 record,
winning the PVAC Conference Title and NCSAA National Tournament earning MVP
honors. He also received 1st Team Honors for the Arlington Baptist Classic,
Prince George 1st Team All-Conference and Prince George 2nd Team All-County .
During
his senior campaign, he led his to team to a 30-5 overall record winning the
Arlington Baptist Classic, Shenandoah Valley Tournament, Colonial Beach Tip-Off
Tournament, and taking Grace Brethren to the Maryland Christian State Tournament
and winning the State Championship for 2006-07. He was awarded MVP for: the
Colonial Beach Tip-Off Tournament, Shenandoah Valley Tournament, 1st Team NCSAA
National Tournament, 1st Team MCST, Prince George 2nd Team All-Conference, and
Prince George 2nd Team All-County. Devin was also selected as one of twenty four
players in the greater D.C. area to play in the Prince George Conference and
County All-Star game.
Devin
Jr. is the son of Devin Sr. and Terri Paige. He anticipates majoring in Business
concentrating in Information Technology Management.

Houghton College
