Highlanders Give Strong Performance at Messiah Invitational

Meet Results

Grantham, PA (4/14/07)- The Highlander Track and Field Team continued to improve going into the Messiah Invitational. The Men's 4x800m Relay (Dan Ballard, Joe Campagna, Chad Stauring, Josiah Snelgrove) notched another event win for the season, including Dan Ballard taking home 1st in the 1500m.

The Highlanders recorded 19 PR's for the meet with the women's team finishing 7th out of 13 teams and the men finishing 6th out of 16 teams.

Kaitlin Fadden continued to have a great week finishing 3rd in the women's 5000m & 4th in the 400 Hurdles. Jamie Mason finished 3rd in the 400 Hurdles  and 4th in the 100 Hurdles. Meghan Radimer finished 3rd in the Shot Put and 2nd in the Discus and Javelin
 

For the men, Josiah Snelgrove finished 2nd in the 800m with fellow relay teammate Dan Ballard finishing 1st in the 1500m. Steve Scott finished 4th in the 110m Hurdles and 2nd in the 400m Hurdles capping off an impressive week. Bruce Mourhess finished 4th in the Triple Jump. 

 

The Highlander Track & Field team competes next week and will be the host school for the 2007 AMC Track & Field Championships, April 20th-21st. This is the second time that the Championships have been hosted at Houghton College, the last time was in 2002. This years meet will attract over 800 athletes from the American Mideast Conference Schools.
