Women's Basketball Signs Jamestown Star, Dupler
Houghton, NY- Ashley Dupler (Jamestown, NY/
Jamestown) has signed a national letter of intent to play basketball at Houghton
College, Highlander coach Skip Lord announced today.

Dupler comes to Houghton after leading Jamestown
High School to consecutive Class AA Section VI Titles and IAABO Champions in 2006 & 2007. During
her senior campaign she averaged 10.5 points, 11.5 rebounds, 4.7 blocks, 3.0
assists, 2.7 steals per game shooting over 58% from the field. Jamestown High
School went 23-1 in 2006-07 (14-0 in Divisional play) winning the ECIC Div 1
Championships and being recognized as the #1 team in Western NY and #7 team in
the State for Class AA.
"Ashley Dupler will be a very successful 4 or 5
player at the NAIA level," said Highlander coach Skip Lord. "Our Conference, the
American Mideast Conference, has had some of the best post players in the
country over the years. Ashley brings the size, athleticism and physical skills
to compete at that level right away. She, too, has been well coached and played
in one of the strongest AA programs in the State. Ashley is a quality person
from a wonderful family. There is no question in my mind that she will be a
great addition to our program."
Ashley finishes her career at Jamestown High
School's as the all-time leader for blocks in a single season with 112, and the
all-time leader for blocks in a career with 288.
She was also recognized as a 2nd Team
All-Western NY selection, 5th Team All-State Class AA, Post-Journal Co-Player of
the Year, Western NY All-Academic Basketball Team, Waste Management
All-Tournament Team, United Way All-Tournament Team, and the recipient of the
Maggie Dixon Scholarship.
Ashley is the Daughter of Rodney and Linda Dupler,
she anticipates majoring in Physical Education.
Houghton College

teams use their commitment to excellence, both on the field-of-play
and
in the classroom, as a platform for their strong and
