                       Women's Soccer Signs Bull

Houghton, NY- Kaylin Bull (Weare, NH/ John Stark Regional) has signed a national letter of intent to play soccer at Houghton College, Highlander coach David Lewis announced today.

Kaylin comes to Houghton College after leading her John Stark Region Generals to the New Hampshire Class I State Championship game. Bull is a two-time 1st Team All-State New Hampshire selection and was selected to the Lion's Cup Game verses the Vermont All-State Team in 2006. She was the teams leading scorer for 2006 with 11 goals and 10 assists on the year, finishing with 30 goals and 20 assists in her career at John Stark.

“Kaylin is a hard working talented player who gave the John Stark Lady Generals offensive depth – she is a true play-maker. She was the heart of our team," said Generals coach Heather Doucette.

“Kaylin turns the ball very quickly and should be an effective member of our attack. She has solid skills and I am looking forward to her contribution. She is also a quality person and great fit for our campus," said Highlander Coach David Lewis.

Kaylin is the daughter of William and Irene Bull.

Houghton College has deep and solid roots in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics, where our teams use their commitment to excellence, both on the field-of-play and in the classroom, as a platform for their strong and unique emphasis on Sports Ministry. Their goal is to make a difference for the Kingdom on campus, in Allegany County, in the Northeast and around the world.  Houghton is one of only 13 institutions who have been hand-selected by the NAIA to serve as "Champions of Character" Program Centers, opening the door for Houghton to be a leader, both in the Northeast and nationally, in character education. Through hands-on, innovative community outreach initiatives, Houghton coaches and student-athletes are working together to change the culture of sport and to change our culture through sport.
