Volleyball Team Falls To Daemen

Buffalo, N.Y.- The Houghton volleyball team let AMC North Division opponent Daemen College walk away with the win tonight, losing 3-2 (30-27, 17-30, 30-24, 24-30, 8-15) at the Wildcat's court.

The Highlanders fall to 8-12 for the season and 1-3 in AMC North Division play. Holly Motheral recorded eight kills and four blocks for the match. Darby Emerson tallied 12 kills, four blocks and 14 digs kills. Defensively, Stefanie Swanson had an impressive 37 digs. Leah Scott added eight kills and seven blocks and Megan Phipps tallied 34 assists and 15 digs.

The Highlanders return to action at home against non-conference opponent Bible Baptist College on September 28. Game time is set for 6:00 pm.
