Trini Rangel joined the track coaching staff in 2002 after serving four years as assistant coach for the men’s basketball program. Prior to coming to Houghton, he served as athletic director and health and physical education teacher at Snohomish County Christian School in Washington state. He has coached basketball on the high school level and served as graduate assistant at NCAA Division II Bemidji State. He received his bachelor’s degree from Colorado State in 1991 and a master’s from Bemidji State in 1996. He also teaches physical education courses at Houghton.
