The Career Library's key resources include numerous in-office career information books, graduate school references and guides, and internship references (below), and additional helpful links listed below, as well as several testing instruments.

Career Services Reference Books.

Some of the following titles are available for sign-out to students.

  • The Dictionary of Occupational Titles
    (descriptions of thousands of job titles)
  • The Occupational Outlook Handbook  (Now Also Available On-Line)
    (in depth information about jobs, wages, educational preparation, where the jobs are, future projections, and other helpful topics)
  • "Career Opportunities", and "Great Jobs for (     ) Majors" Series 
    (books about "what's out there" for specific majors)
  • College Majors and Careers; Liberal Arts Jobs; College Knowledge and Jobs
    (great references for questions like; what you can do with your major? what kind of work can you do with a liberal arts degree? etc.) 
  • "How to Get Any Job with Any Major"
  • 10 Things Employers Want You to Learn in College
  • Other directories for many areas, including Quantum Companies to Mission organizations.

What Can I Do With This Major? is an interactive site you can visit for information about various majors.
