Sample Daily Schedule

7-8:30 am Wake up and get breakfast
9:00 am – 11:30 am

Head up to the Equestrian Center for lessons and chores

  • Lessons are divided up by riding discipline and rider's goals for the week.  Each lesson is created with the riders' goals and abilities in mind.  Lessons are no larger than 5 riders and typically are team taught by camp staff instructors and focus on foundational principals in order to build on riders' knowledge and abilities

12:00 pm- 1:00 pm

Lunch and transition to afternoon activities
1:00 pm – 4:00 pm

Afternoon Activities

  • Afternoon activities change daily.  Examples of activities are: swimming, group games and activities, and crafts.  Campers return to the barn for additional hands-on knowledge such as horse and rider equipment trivia, equine first aid, equine nutrition, and natural horsemanship workshops


5:00 pm- 6:00 pm

Dinner in the dining hall

  • One evening campers return to the barn for a Hoe-Down BBQ
6:30 pm – 9:00 pm Head up to the Equestrian Center for lessons and chores
9:00 pm

Evening wrap-up and devotions

  • Each evening a member of the camp staff shares an inspirational or personal story and allows campers to share highlights of the day and any concerns or prayer requests
10:00 pm back in dorm
11:00 pm lights out

Friday Lessons:

  • Friday is a time to share with family or friends, a snippet of what the camper has learned during the week.  Campers have a final lesson to showcase what they have learned or accomplished throughout their week at camp.  Campers ride at either 9am or 10:30am. 

Additional Activities:

  • Pony Games- one evening each week, campers have the opportunity to dress silly and play games with and on horses ranging from egg and spoon races to 3-legged camper races. 
  • Late-Night Tag Game- campers look forward to an extra late night of playing tag games in one of the campus buildings. 
  • Bonfire- we love to wrap up our time together on Thursday night with a bonfire.  Campers love to share stories, eat s'mores, and spread quality time around the fire before returning home.
