Meet the Director

Director- Coach Hannah Zgrablich

Hannah Zgrablich was named head coach of the Houghton College Field Hockey Program at the start of the Fall 2015 Season.

Under her leadership and with a strong program foundation in place, the Highlander Field Hockey squad was able to improve their overall record, compete closely for a spot in conference play-offs, and continue their transition to NCAA DIII athletics as a part of the Empire 8.

"Hannah's knowledge of the game, maturity and leadership skills made her the ideal candidate to lead the program," said Lord.  "As a player she was a key contributor on the field, but more importantly, a leader vocally and by example.  Her ability to motivate and encourage as a captain built trust among her teammates, and it is something she can carry over into the coaching role."

Zgrablich, a native of Furlong, PA., was a four-year member of the Highlander program, 2 year captain, and started 67 of 68 games during her career.

"I am thoroughly enjoying being involved in athletics at Houghton in a new way," says Zgrablich.  "Our program has continued to grow in such a positive way this year and I am looking forward to what the future holds.  It is a privilege to serve young women who fervently comptet all for God's glory.  We are looking forward to using this summer camp as an opportunity to further develop strong hockey players and to teach them the importance of conducting themselves with integrity on and off the field.
