Ryann Cooley Exhibit Featured at Chautauqua Institution

August 11, 2020

Ryann Cooley, associate professor of digital media and photography and chair of the Art Department at Houghton University, is currently featured in a nationally profiled show at the Chautauqua Institution titled Attention to Detail: Glass 2020.

Cooley is one of four exhibiting artists in the show that highlights glass works by four contemporary glassblowers and sculptors. His exhibit, Glass Portraits, uses photographs to engage the viewer with an image both spatially and physically. “As a photographer, it is exciting to be included on the national stage in an exhibition of glass artists,” says Cooley.

The show opened on July 6 and ends on August 24. Learn more by watching Cooley’s interview with the Chautauqua Institution as a spotlight artist.
