Houghton University Announces its Academic Honorees for the Fall 2020 President’s & Dean’s List

April 13, 2021

Houghton University is proud to announce its academic honorees for the Fall 2020 semester with 406 students collectively recognized among the Dean’s Honor, Dean’s and the President’s List of achievement.

To attain Dean’s List, students who are enrolled full time need to obtain a grade point average of 3.50-3.74 during the semester while the Dean’s Honor List recognizes full time students who obtain a grade point average of 3.75-3.99. The highest achievement, the President’s List, acknowledges a competitive standard for full time students who maintain a grade point average of 4.0.

On behalf of everyone at Houghton University, we congratulate all of our Fall 2020 honor recipients on their dedication to academic excellence. “As the Houghton University learning community made the now proverbial ‘pivot’ to hybrid-flexible instruction in the fall semester, faculty and students alike demonstrated incredible resiliency and determination as they readily adapted to new ways of engaging with each other and with course content,” notes Cathy Freytag, Associate Dean of the Faculty.  “The students’ grit and perseverance really shone through, and it was our privilege to acknowledge the accomplishments of the 406 students who attained the honor of Dean’s List and President’s List in the Fall 2020 semester.”
