Develop your creative problem-solving skills and build the foundation for a lifetime of design awareness with a graphic design concentration.
With a graphic design concentration at Houghton College, you’ll engage every aspect of the design process. Assignments build confidence in visual literacy and design, as you connect with disciplines like marketing and communication, computer science, and fine arts.
The concentration also offers design internships, allowing you to tackle real-world assignments while building your portfolio.

- In Graphic Design III, students engage problems needing more complex solutions, emphasizing technical skills and design consistency that follow best industry practices.
Graphic design classes are taught in the Forsyth Learning Commons. This spacious Mac computer lab features Adobe Creative Cloud applications as well as a high-quality color laser printer. Students in graphic design courses also have fingerprint access to the lab, to work on projects outside of class.
In addition to industry-standard Adobe graphic design software, computer stations have software for motion graphics, video, and 3D modeling.
