Health Promotion and Fitness minor

The health promotion and fitness minor prepares students for a variety of careers such as health coach, fitness instructor and/or personal trainer in the health, wellness and fitness industries. Students can choose to pursue a certification in Personal Training Certification through the National Council on Strength and Fitness.

SRWM 295 ST – Strength and Conditioning 2

BIO 232 – Epidemiology 3
SRWM 314 – Organization & Management of Athletics 3
SRWM 306 – Principles of Coaching & Sport Management 3
BADM xxx – recommended and approved by advisor 3
PSY 200 level or higher – recommended and approved by advisor 3
COMM xxx – recommended and approved by advisor 2-3

NOTE: Students with an SRWM major and Health Promotion & Fitness minor must have a minimum of 12 non-overlapping credits to complete the minor.
