Enrolled Students Orientation
For new incoming enrolled students we have put together a simple, straightforward presentation on how to pay your bill for Houghton College. We are thrilled you will be joining us on campus this fall.
Houghton College is pleased to offer you real time billing through TMS’s Student Account Center. This means that instead of only seeing your bills a few times a semester, you will now be able to see any updates to your account from payments, scholarships, and charges instantly!
This same website will also be used to make single and monthly payments toward your balance. You will receive an invite email from Houghton College [email@example.com] that will include a link to the Student Accounts Center. Follow the instructions in the invite email to create your account. Due to federal student privacy regulations, the student must register first and then invite others (e.g. parents or others who are crucial to the payment process) to view/pay the student account online. An email with activation instructions will then be sent to the invited participant. By inviting others, the student authorizes SFSO and TMS to discuss the student account with the added user. If we don’t have this authorization, we will be unable to discuss the account with anyone other than the student.

You can also make one-time payments through our online payment gateway. Go to the “Make a Payment” section, select Houghton College from the drop-down menu, click “Make a One-Time Payment.” Enter the required information and submit your payment.
Monthly Payment Plans
This is one of the best options for tuition financing. Interest-free and everyone qualifies. Plans allowing fixed monthly payments are available on a per-semester basis for a flat enrollment fee.
- Log into your account at https://Houghton.Afford.com and click on the “Payment Plan” tab.
- Click “Enroll in a Payment Plan,” select the term for the payment plan, and click “Enroll in a payment plan.”
- Go through the quick and simple enrollment steps to set up your plan.
Current Plans Available:
A one time enrollment fee of $40.00 is applied to all payment plans.
- 6 Fall Payments May 15th-October 15th
- 5 Fall Payments June 15th-October 15th
- 4 Fall Payments July 15th-October 15th
- 6 Spring Payments November 15th-April 15th
- 5 Spring Payments December 15th-April 15th
- 4 Spring Payments January 15th-April 15th

To make a payment by phone, please call Nelnet at 1-800-309-2521.
Payment by Mail
To pay your bill by mail, please make checks or money orders payable to Houghton College. Include your name, Student ID number, and a copy of your billing statement, and mail to:

Houghton College has partnered with Flywire to streamline the tuition payment process for our international students.
With Flywire, you can pay from any country and any bank. You are offered excellent foreign exchange rates, allowing you to pay in your home currency (in most cases) and save a significant amount of money, as compared to traditional banks. You will also be able to track where your payment is in the transfer process via a student dashboard, and an email confirmation will be sent to you when your payment is received by the school.
