Houghton Alumna Wins Best Anthology on Literature Contribution at Locus Awards

Laura White ’13 was a contributor to, “The Book of Dragons”, which won Best Anthology in this year’s Locus Awards, an annual literacy award ceremony hosted by, Locus: The Magazine of Science Fiction and Fantasy Field, an American magazine published monthly in Oakland, California.

Daughter of David and Deborah White, Laura is a third-generation Houghton alumna, having been selected for Houghton University’s Young Alumna of the Year Award in 2019 (pictured above), in recognition of her successful fantasy trilogy Heartstone, published under the pen name, “Elle Katharine White”, through the Harper Voyager imprint.
