Dual Communication and Theology major, Geri Edwards ’21, had the opportunity to connect with Houghton alumnus, Justin Lawrence ’00 at a BEST Talk in Fall 2019. Justin works for InterVarsity Press (IVP), an offset of InterVarsity Christian Fellowship/USA, as a publisher of evangelical Christian books.

Shortly after networking, Justin arranged for Geri to intern with IVP in their department of social media marketing, eventually leading to a permanent position on the IVP team.

Recently, Justin shared that IVP is very happy with her performance as she continues to positively represent the impact of Houghton University’s graduates in the job force.
