Houghton University has launched a national search for the next Provost and Chief Academic Officer of the nationally recognized, Christian liberal arts institution.

“Founded on the desire to provide an academically rigorous, Christ-centered education to students of diverse backgrounds and traditions, nearly 140 years later, Houghton continues to impact our region and the world; equipping scholar servants to change the world through their professional expertise, ministry, and service,” said Houghton President, Wayne D. Lewis, Jr. “We are excited about the beginning of this next chapter in Houghton’s history, and this important search for the next Provost and Chief Academic Officer who will be instrumental in shaping and supporting Houghton’s academic programs and offerings.”

This position will lead and develop the academic program of the College, including integrating the curricular and co-curricular elements of the student experience, promoting spiritual formation in the classroom, and directing faculty recruitment, evaluation and development.
