Laura is from the small town of Dillsburg, PA, which is south of Harrisburg. She graduated from Asbury University with a BA in christian ministries and completed a master’s degree in spiritual formation & leadership from Spring Arbor University. Since graduating college, Laura has lived in central Kentucky and on Native American reservations in Montana and Minnesota, and moved to Houghton from Philadelphia. During her 3 years in Philadelphia, she worked for YouthWorks, a multi-denominational missions organization. Laura loves to collect new experiences, is a self-proclaimed coffee snob, enjoys cooking with fresh produce, and is passionate about social justice and sustainable living. Laura is excited to live with and develop relationships with the residents of Gillette.
