Join Rachel Moran, Assistant Professor of Law at St. Thomas Law School (Minneapolis, MN).

After law school Moran worked at a private criminal defense firm, representing clients on trial for offenses ranging from misdemeanors to first-degree murder. She then became an assistant appellate defender with the Office of the Illinois State Appellate Defender.

Moran focuses her scholarship on issues pertaining to police accountability, policing reform, and public access to records of police misconduct. In 2019 she was named a Bellow Scholar. Her articles have appeared in the Washington Law ReviewVillanova Law Review, and Buffalo Law Review, among others.

BEST represents Business, Education, Science, and Technology and the opportunity to engage with some of Houghton’s best and brightest alumni and friends.

Guests will share some of their best stories and advice and their personal and professional journeys. After the presentation, attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions and meet the evening’s guest(s).

Dress is professional unless coming from/going to athletic events.
