Dr. Starr earned his BA in Economics at the State College of New York at Oneonta, his CAS in Theology at the Seminary of the East, his PhD in Organizational Studies at the University of Albany. An entreprenuer, he was a founder of Laflammes Inc. (furniture retailer), owned a real estate holding company, and opened the Snap Fitness franchise in Robert’s home community. He and his wife trained and launched campus ministries serving throughout the Northeast USA.

Aside from a passion for God, his family (wife Carrie and three children), and golf, Dr. Starr loves to teach on leadership, strategic management, and entrepreneurship. He has been actively involved with our Enactus team, and enjoys having students to his family’s home.

“Chance favors a prepared mind” Louis Pasteur. I believe that one of the ways we can most effectively impact the world for good and for God is through entrepreneurship/intrapreneurship. The world needs job creators, not just job takers – and even more so as we navigate a worldwide pandemic.
