Start Your Houghton Experience Online This Fall!

June 8, 2020

Make no mistake; if the State allows Houghton to have residential students on campus this fall, we will welcome students old and new to our main campus in Houghton, New York, with open arms—and it seems increasingly likely that this will be the case.

But Houghton faculty have also been preparing for weeks now to make our fall courses available online. The decision has been made: in addition to likely offering them on campus, many of our Fall courses will be offered in an online format. We’re sure many of you will be enthusiastic about coming to a fleshandblood campus where you can actually touch the grass and smell the air. However, for various reasons, many may prefer to study online this Fall.

The great news is that, whether you are on campus or online, all of our students will experience Houghton’s highly personal, relational approach—one of our hallmarks. In this season when our normal routines have been disrupted, Houghton is committed to delivering a flexible, relational education that you can access both residentially and online. Our faculty are committed to highly personal connections with you as a unique, individual learner—in any format.

Want to transfer in for a semester? We are also making numerous upperlevel classes available in an online format. You may like us so much you want to stay!

All you need do is ask, and we will work with you to put together an online schedule for the Fall, part-time or full-time. This is an unprecedented opportunity to get the best of Houghton from a distance! For more information, fill out the inquiry form found on the Choose Your Path page.

Below is just a sampling of the kinds of courses you might take online this fall right alongside your on-campus classmates. Once you submit an inquiry, we will work with you to make sure your personalized journey is well on its way to the right destination.
