New Student Orientation and Information

We are excited to welcome you to campus, albeit in a new reality!

We acknowledge the trying times we find ourselves in and also seek to make the most of our present circumstances.

Information for first-year and transfer student orientation during the fall of 2021 will be made available here as it becomes available. Please regularly monitor your email and this page for more updates.

Welcome Weekend Schedule

See below for a sneak peek at our plans for Welcome Weekend and check back in August for the full schedule! All plans are subject to change based on updated policies and guidelines.

Move-In

8 a.m. - 12 p.m.

Check your email this summer for more details about your specific arrival time. We will have 30 minute windows for each student to check-in at the Welcome Tent. *This is just a designated time to check-in, not a time frame to get in and out.

Family Programming

Afternoon

There will be opportunities for family members and students to interact with campus leaders during the afternoon and attend a New Student Dedication Service.

Goodbyes

5 p.m.

We provide an opportunity for students and families to say their goodbyes by 5 pm as students head to dinner with their classmates and start their Houghton journey.
