“What Were You Wearing” Exhibit: Sharing Survivors’ Stories

April 12 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

When survivors of sexual violence disclose their stories, they are often asked, “What were you wearing?” as if their clothing choice determines their consent. The What Were You Wearing? exhibit, an international survivor art installation, fights back against rape myths by displaying re-creations of the clothing survivors were wearing when they were assaulted, showing that someone’s clothing does not equate to their consent.. . . . The exhibition is free, and open to the public. . . The exhibit will be on display from April 12-April 30, 2025. . . . Student artwork will also accompany the exhibit. — Event Details: https://hub.houghton.edu/rsvp?id=383087
