Western NY Consortium Cross-Registration

The Educational Law & Trustees of New York State Resolution 73-58, dated February 28, 1973, enables state-operated campuses and the community colleges to enter into a cross-registration procedure with other public and private colleges in the Western New York Consortium. The process permits full-time students to take and receive credits for courses at another participating college, without payments of tuition beyond the tuition already paid to the home institution (one three-hour course per semester).

Houghton students may apply for cross-registration through the WNY Consortium if they meet the following guidelines:

Registration is on a space-available basis. WNY Consortium cross-registration is not applicable during the summer. Cross-registration is not available for graduate students or graduate-level courses. Christian College Consortium

Founded in 1971, the Christian College Consortium is a group of twelve Christian colleges and universities located across the United States whoโ€“through scholarships, conferences and exchange programsโ€”serve the cause of Christ in higher education by encouraging and assisting one another in the pursuit of their respective missions.

Through semester-long Consortium programs, such as the Student Visitor Program, students from member institutions study at other Consortium colleges or on off-campus and study abroad programs.
